Janet Albrechtson’s article “Leftist Jargon Is Village Idiocy” in The Australian 31 July 2013 is entirely accurate.
But why has the world come to this? Is this the natural outcome of Chaos Theory, as described by Edward Lorenz? Is it the eventual result of the natural order of things described by Peter Chardon Brooks Adams in the 1895 book “The Law of Civilisation and Decay”?
Australians (those that can be bothered to keep abreast of the situation) are becoming accustomed to reading such as the following, describing the violent culture so evident in Sydney, reported by Miranda Divine:
“One former counter terrorism officer, who asked not to be named, said the gun culture had become so ingrained among Middle Eastern males in southwest Sydney that they have taken to settling so-called “honour” disputes with guns.”
“The culture is all guns and drugs. If someone looks at your wife the wrong way, you shoot them. They think they’re bulletproof and they have this wilful disregard for authority.”
How is it that we allow the completely illogical, unreasonable manner in which government is leading us, as described by Jo Nova:
“Most of the key factors in a carbon market are misnamed. The market is not free. An essential plant fertiliser is called pollution. The aim of the market is not to make clean energy but to change global temperatures by an amount that rounded to the nearest degree, equals zero. The US has no market but has reduced emissions (largely thanks to shale gas), while any reductions in EU emissions were largely due to falling gross domestic product. Yet the government wants to join the EU scheme.”
Throughout history civilisation after civilisation has collapsed. Is this happening here? And now? Have we learned nothing from the history of the Roman Empire and its destruction? With so many forebears forewarning us of the dangers of socialism, such as Hayek, Von Mises, Huxley, and Orwell, why are we falling into this obvious trap? Is it an inevitable cycle that leads from poverty and slavery, to feudalism, to revolution and freedom, thence to restructuring, affluence and apathy, that leads to feudalism and back to poverty and slavery?
Or is it something more sinister that has happened because of a carefully planned and executed strategy?
There is substantial evidence that the elite, as represented by such secret societies as the Fabians, the Bilderberg Society, and the Club of Rome have a plan for a New World Order. The New World Order envisaged in the UN’s 1996 Agenda 21 document is a world in which the entire population of planet Earth is only two billion souls strictly controlled by a few of the intelligentsia. Why do the people behave like sheep, as portrayed in H.G. Wells’ “The Time Machine”?
Is it because our institutions have been infiltrated with a destructive ideology? Have the major churches abandoned the Faith in favour of the religion of the Golden Calf of environmentalism and humanism? Is it because a couple of generations ago our education system was turned on its head to teach people to “feel” rather than “think” in making decisions? Is it because we have allowed our universities to become hotbeds of International Communism? Perhaps it is because we stood idly by while the national broadcaster has become the propaganda machine for Big Brother?
Here is a dialogue from the movie “The Matrix”. I think it is particularly appropriate in conjunction with Janet Albrechtson’s article.
Morpheus: I imagine that right now you are feeling a bit like Alice, tumbling down the rabbit hole.
Neo: You could say that.
Morpheus: I can see it in your eyes. You have the look of a man who accepts what he sees, because he is expecting to wake up. Ironically, this is not far from the Truth. Do you believe in fate, Neo?
Morpheus: Why not?
Neo: Because I don’t like the idea that I am not in control of my life.
Morpheus: I know exactly what you mean. Let me tell you why you are here. You are here because you know something. What you know, you can’t explain, but you feel it. You have felt it your entire life. There is something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I am talking about?
Neo: The Matrix?
Mopheus: Do you want to know what it is? The Matrix is everywhere; it is all around us. Even now in this very room. You can see it when you look out of your window, or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work, when you go to church, when you pay your taxes. It is the wool that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the Truth.
Neo: What Truth?
Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo, like everyone else, you were born into bondage. Born into a prison that you cannot smell or taste or touch. A prison for your mind. Unfortunately, no one can be told what the matrix is. You have to see it for yourself.
This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill and the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill and you stay in wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Remember, I’m offering you the Truth and nothing more.
